Are you about to commence your studies in the upcoming academic year? Or are you already studying for an undergraduate degree accredited by the Institution? We have a range of financial scholarships available to support you.
The IMechE Undergraduate Scholarship is available to students who are about to commence their Institution-accredited degree and is worth a total of £8,000, with students receiving £2,000 per year (for up to four years.) Our First Year Undergraduate Scholarship is available to students who are already registered on the first year of their Institution-accredited degree and is worth up to £9,000 for three years of a MEng degree-level course and £6,000 for two years of a BEng degree-level course. Last year sixteen developing engineers were awarded a total of £128,000 to support their academic journey, reflecting the Institution’s commitment to supporting the educational and development needs of today’s mechanical engineering students.

Additionally, The Whitworth Scholarships also support those planning to embark on, or already on, an undergraduate degree with up to £9,000 per year on offer. While Senior Whitworth Scholarships offer an enhanced level of financial reward for postgraduate research, with up to £15,000 per year available for full-time research.
