Summary

This course is aimed at managers who set strategic direction for their teams.

The aim of this course is to enable experienced engineering managers to improve their skills to develop strategic leadership capabilities and to work more effectively and efficiently.

The course looks at the personal resources managers and leaders have available and how to make the best of them. The focus is on how to lead a department or team where you are not able to have close contact with them on a daily basis, either because the team is too large or too remote.

All attendees will receive a free Engineer360 feedback report when attending this programme.

Who should attend?

We have designed this programme for existing line managers. Participants are typically engineers or other technical professionals who have experience in a man-management role and now want to take their skills to the next level as a business leader.

How will I benefit?

    After the course you will be able to:
  • Set strategy for your team, to contribute fully to your company’s vision and mission
  • Motivate, manage and communicate with your team to engage them fully in the company’s goals;
  • Successfully manage and implement change programmes that will stick and be embedded in normal business practice
  • See when conflict is occurring and manage it effectively
