Open invitation to Driverless teams from around the world - FS-AI Simulation Development

This year, the IMechE has taken the decision not to run its live event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but will instead run a series of Virtual Events.

Simulation Development is a new event in the portfolio of Virtual Events, exclusively for FS-AI / Driverless teams. The IMechE would liketo extend the invitation to participate in Simulation Development to any team with the capability to enter.

The purpose of the Simulation Development event is to evaluate the student’s understanding of simulation within the autonomous vehicle development workflow, and demonstrate their self-driving algorithms in detail, especially while teams cannot access physical hardware. If you are interested in participating, please email your intention to participate to fs@imeche.org with the following information:

• University and team name
• Short bio (max 150 words)
• Which Formula Student competitions you were scheduled to enter in 2020?
• Are your team using simulation? What kind? How far have you progressed with it?

There is no fee to participate in Simulation Development. We must receive your intention to participate no later than Friday 15 May 2020.
