The Formula Student Organising Committee and IPG Automotive are pleased to announce the launch of the 2022 Lap Time Simulation Event, which is now a mandatory Static Event element for all FS Class and Concept Class teams.

Expanding upon a successful trial in 2021, the LTS event now features an updated user interface, four different FS vehicle types and the additional requirement to submit a Model Validation Test plan.

The Formula Student 2022 Rules have been updated to V1.2 and are available to download here: https://www.imeche.org/events/formula-student/team-information/rules

All teams must register for their free Formula CarMaker license here: https://ipg-automotive.com/en/support/licenses/formula-carmaker/

The 2022 LTS software package is available to download here: https://ipg-automotive.com/en/company/research-teaching/formula-carmaker-download

To enable all the features required for the 2022 LTS event, the software must be updated to Version 10.2 using the following login credentials on the Client Area of the IPG website, user name and password will be sent to all teams.

LTS event specific User Documentation is available via the Help menu in the software.

Any software specific questions should be sent to FormulaCarMaker@ipg-automotive.com with “FS LTS” in the Subject Line.

All other questions should be submitted to the FSQD as per Rule A3.6.
