Enter your competition project for the IMechE Mechatronics award

Formula Student Team

Competed at Formula Student, UAS Challenge, Railway Challenge or Design Challenge this year?

The Mechatronics Engineering Student of the Year competition is an annual competition to find the best undergraduate or recent graduate student project in the field of mechatronics from a UK-based university.

Successful applications will be projects that will demonstrate all key aspects of mechatronics, mechanics, control and their integration to create a working prototype with a practical outcome. The novelty of your idea and original thinking will be particularly welcome.

This would suit students who have competed at one or more of the IMechE's student challenges and who want to gain additional recognition for their work, together with prizes of up to £500 for the winning submission.

How to enter:

Entries must be submitted on or before 8 September 2025 to membernetworks@imeche.org. An official entry form must accompany all entries, which is available with further information on the Award Page.
