Award Summary

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Racecar Engineering will present the Racecar Engineering Engagement, Outreach and Communications Award 2021 to the Formula Student team with the highest quality communication and promotion strategy and most engaging content, including technical articles, photos and videos, and interim reports.

Racecar Engineering has created the Racecar Engineering Student Zone, a dedicated website for Formula Student teams to showcase their engagement, outreach and communications expertise.

All Formula Student teams have a dedicated Team page on the Racecar Engineering Student Zone website. You must upload all content to your Team Page for judging by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Racecar Engineering Engagement, Outreach and Communications Award panel of judges.

All teams will receive login details for their Team Page on the Racecar Engineering Student Zone website this week. If you haven't received your login details, please email Chris Smout for help.

Simon Temlett, Publisher of Racecar Engineering magazine said, “We are delighted to be involved with Formula Student once again. The competition continues to respond to the trends we cover in the motorsport industry, including electrification and autonomous vehicles development, and it is exciting to see the work of many young engineers who go on to be the leading engineers in their fields. We wish all teams taking part this year the best of luck with their cars and we look forward to reading your updates on the Student Zone.”

The winner of the Racecar Engineering Engagement, Outreach and Communications Award 2021 will receive coverage in the September Issue of Racecar Engineering Magazine, plus a yearly digital subscription to the Racecar Engineering magazine!
