Support Network Data Protection Policy

Support Network takes protection of your personal data seriously.

We will only ask for and collect data that is required to enable us to work with you, to contact you about our activities or services, or to comply with an external obligation (e.g. to process Gift Aid donations or legal disclosures) and it will only be used as described in this policy statement. Any changes to the policy will appear here. This policy is effective from 1 April 2018.

Collected data might include your name, date of birth, IMechE membership number, telephone, email and home address contact details. On occasion, if not all of the required data is provided in support of seeking Support Network services, it may mean that Support Network is unable to provide those services.

We will securely and confidentially retain your data in our internal record systems, and will not share any of this information outside of our organisation unless we have your express and specific agreement to do so. Support Network has checked that all third party agencies that it uses to deliver services are GDPR compliant.

Your data might be used within internal documents to enable us to provide services to you and/or as part of our governance procedures. Any information which is used in order to help develop services will be utilised on a statistical and/or anonymous basis.

Your personal data will be held, managed and retained within current Data Protection legislation requirements, and further details about what the law requires can be found at www.ico.org.uk  We will apply these standards to all data that we hold, not just to data that arises within EU member state jurisdictions. We will also provide more details regarding our data protection procedures to our grants and services applicants, users and recipients.
