Do you plan on hosting a Speak Out For Engineering (SOfE) competition in 2016? If so, the Institution's Trustee Board Awards Committee want to hear from you very soon.
Speak Out for Engineering is a competition designed to help develop verbal and visual communication in explaining technical mechanical engineering related subjects. Any young member from the Institution can enter the competition to win a cash prize of the equivalent of £300 for first prize or £200 for second prize.
If you volunteer with the Institution and work with young members anywhere in the world, the Institution's Trustee Board Awards Committee (TBAC) would like to hear from you as to whether you would like to run a Speak Out for Engineering (SOfE) competition in 2016. It is the TBAC who earmark the prizes for the event in each region and will be meeting in early November to discuss this as a committee. In addition to confirming the location of your planned competition, the TBAC would need to know who would be the contact person for your event and when the event is likely to take place. Please also be sure to let me know about any heats, country finals, regional finals and inter-regional finals you have planned. To give your expression of interest, please email the Institution's SOfE co-ordinator Seyi Falusi by no later than Wednesday 4 November 2015 . Any entries after this date cannot be considered. Please also note that this will be the only opportunity to let the TBAC know that you would like to run a Speak Out for Engineering Competition in 2016.
