Now in its fourteenth year, the RACE TECH World Motorsport Symposium has built a reputation as the most prestigious international motorsport forum organised for the who's who of motorsport engineering at the highest level.
Rule makers come together with key executives and suppliers under one roof and not only make a big contribution to how motorsport works, improving the show and moving the game on but they also exchange opinions, ideas and different ways of thinking in an open discussion that only furthers their knowledge as an engineer.
Chaired every year by Audi Sport's Engine Development Director Ulrich Baretzky and Formula One aerodynamicist John Iley, who take time out of their extremely busy schedules to run these two days along with the RACE TECH magazine team, it has been described as the 'Davos of Motorsport Engineering' whilst the awards dinner was coined by an Italian journalist as the motorsport equivalent of the Nobel Price.
The Theme: Shaping the Future
It could well be that the next World Motorsport Symposium that takes place on 27/28 November at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in London is the most important one for the last 10 years, if not before that. Never before have two massively and topical important issues been addressed in such detail: artificial intelligence and the environment. There are a number of highly topical presentations over the two days that cover these topics in great detail.
