Women in Transport Parliamentary event

Ruth Cadbury MP hosted a reception on behalf of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women in Transport in the Terrace Pavilion at the House of Commons.

The reception was to mark the launch of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women in Transport to address the under-representation of women in transport.

Mike Brown MVO, Commissioner, Transport for London spoke on driving diversity in the transport industry.

Silvia Boschetto attended representing the IMechE. It was an opportunity to connect with the group, offering the IMechE and EDSG the opportunity to input to the group on women in engineering related issues.

Attendees were present from other relevant PEI’s and WES who showed a keen interest for further collaboration with both the parliamentary group and the IMechE on this issue.
