Get a thorough technical overview of the development of the Lotus Evija on 3 November 2020, direct from Uday Senapati, Executive Director for Corporate Strategy and Product Management at Lotus.

The lecture will cover the design and engineering principles of the Lotus Evija, the first all-electric British-built hypercar and the world’s most powerful series production car, highlighting its innovation and how it’s a statement of intent for the rejuvenated Lotus brand.

Its mid-mounted battery pack echoes the celebrated Lotus mid-engined sports car layout, and the target is a WLTP driving range of 400km. With performance figures of 2,000 PS and 1,700 Nm, it is the world’s most powerful series production road car. It features many innovative world-firsts and is lightning quick, with acceleration from 0-300km/h in under nine seconds.

Designed, engineered and to be built at Lotus’ famous home in Hethel, Norfolk, it is helping to cement the UK’s position as the world leader in high-performance automotive manufacturing, with a limited production run of 130 examples.
