UCLWE International Women’s Day Event: Personal Journeys through Engineering

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the UCL Student Society of Women Engineers, along with the IMechE, IET, WES and IChemE, held an event for engineers to share their personal journey.

The mixed audience found the experience valuable in understanding how others had overcome challenges similar to those they have and/or are facing in the workplace and in developing their career.

The diversity of experiences appealed to the audience allowing them to see there are many paths an engineering degree can lead you along.

Presentations were from:

• Silvia Boschetto, Director at SilvaKey & IMechE’s Chair, Equality & Diversity steering group (EDSG)
• Anushka Devaser, Process Engineer at AMEC Foster Wheeler
• Cassie Kolyda, Founder and CEO StraDia Coaching
