The Institution of Mechanical Engineers will hold a Special Meeting on 27 January 2025, followed by a member vote on a resolution about the future of its headquarters building on Birdcage Walk.

Members can still register for the Special Meeting until 11:00 on 27 January 2025.

This important event provides an opportunity to:

• hear more about the HQ Programme
• discuss the proposed resolution
• ask questions before casting your vote.

The Special Meeting

Time: 13:00hrs

The Special Meeting is a hybrid event, but we encourage members to join online. All members can attend and ask questions.

To attend the meeting, please register by 11:00hrs on 27 January 2025 via My Account - HQ Programme or via recent email communication regarding the future of the IMechE HQ.

The Vote

Voting opens during the Special Meeting and will close on 10 February 2025.

Only Corporate and Associate Members can vote and will receive voting instructions by email during the meeting.

Thank you for attending our webinars

We hosted three webinars in preparation for the Special Meeting. These webinars covered key aspects of the HQ Programme, the proposed resolution, and the future of our headquarters. Over 1,000 members attended, contributing approximately 200 questions and invaluable feedback. By reviewing these materials, you will gain insights into the discussions already held and the questions answered by the panel.
