Equality and Diversity Steering Group
The Royal National Theatre invited Silvia Boschetto, as part of her role as Chair EDSG to talk to their staff about diversity and inclusion in engineering.
The National Theatre, as part of their diversity and inclusion programme, held two weeks of talks and workshops from a range of speakers from different industries and sectors. They were interested to understand how others were addressing this area and to learn about best practice ideas and approaches.
The other panellists were a Director of HR and Organisational Development for a university in London and the International Head of Talent within the banking sector.
The event showed that there are similar challenges across all sectors in developing inclusive cultures and ensuring a diverse pipeline of talent.
The National Theatre were also keen to try to engage more with the engineering institutions particularly the IMechE and WES to ensure they have a sustainable pipeline of diverse engineering talent for their technical departments.
