Institution news
Clear engineering communication isn’t a “nice to have” – it’s now essential for influence and professional leadership. That message came through strongly at the Jibran Khalid Memorial
Speak Out for Engineering (SOfE) Nationals Pakistan 2025, where finalists demonstrated how compelling storytelling can elevate technical ideas and inspire change across the profession.
Hosted by the
University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila, the competition highlighted why the Institution continues to invest in platforms that help engineers present with confidence, credibility and impact.
Why it matters for members
Engineers today must articulate complex concepts to decision-makers, communities and global audiences.
SOfE provides a real-world forum to practise those skills - building communication, leadership and public-engagement capability that supports career progression and professional registration.
The event also honoured the legacy of the late
Jibran Khalid, whose dedication to developing young engineers continues to inspire the IMechE community across Pakistan.
