The Northern Automotive Alliance support 2019 FS Teams

Formula Student Team

The NAA and Camcoat return to offer support for FS teams. Read on for full details and how to get in touch.

The Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA) is a cluster of 100+ companies in the North of England with full or partial activities in the automotive industry. The NAA recognise the value of the FS competition to its team members and Universities in terms of engineering creativity, team building and instilling a competitive spirit.

Camcoat Performance Coatings Ltd is a member of the NAA and has been supporting teams for several years, mainly with their range of thermal barrier exhaust coatings. This support is continued for the 2019 season through free advice and free or heavily discounted application of coatings which can enhance both engine/drive train performance and durability. A unique coating called a thermal dispersant (TLTD) increases the amount of heat rejected from metal so is very useful on electrical equipment, cooling and braking systems. Details of the many coatings and their specific enhancement to all aspects of a race car application can be seen on www.camcoat.com

Similar member companies of the NAA manufacture cables, springs and other related products. Since innovation is a key element of the competition it is very likely that one or NAA members can give meaningful and competitive edge support.

If you are therefore looking for help, specific advice or product deals please contact petercarter@camcoat.com or 07746 239059 who will carry out the initial liaison with the NAA .
