The Smart Factory Expo
The Smart Factory Expo

Find out how AAC teams can get involved in this year’s events on 10-11 November at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

Organised by long-time supporters of the Apprentice Automation Challenge and a part of Digital Manufacturing Week, the Manufacturer’s Smart Factory Expo is the industry’s biggest digital manufacturing show, covering the latest in 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing, Automation & Robotics, IoT & Sensors and more. Combining a busy exhibition area with technical presentations and learning sessions, the Expo is the perfect place to get up to date on the most recent engineering technologies, meet like-minded engineers and make valuable connections.

Winners of the Institution’s Apprentice Automation Challenge are given a chance to demonstrate their prototype at the expo’s Innovation Alley, which showcases innovative tech start-ups, with a complete micro-booth. This is a great opportunity for the winning team of apprentices to be a part of a busy industry event and get further recognition for your hard work. Between the thousands of attendees, presenters and exhibitors you meet there could be your next employers, project investors or colleagues, so this is an amazing opportunity for apprentices at the start of your career.

The culmination of the week is The Manufacturer’s MX Awards on the evening of the 11 November, Black tie gala dinner with three course dinner, drinks, live entertainment including guest speaker and band. Among the evening’s winners across 10 categories, the awards evening also recognises the winners of the Apprentice Automation Challenge, which is a great way to celebrate your organisation and your team’s successes in the 2021 Challenge.

Both events are planned to be face to face and COVID-secure for 2021 and we look forward to finding out which team will be crowned the winners and join both events!
