Operating Board Chair Election: call for nominations

​The Regional Strategy Board (RSB) seeks nominations for the posts of RSB Chair and RSB Deputy Chair.

This is the first time an Operating Board is being invited to elect their own Chair. Hitherto, these positions have been held by members of the Trustee Board.

This fundamental change – in response to the Governance Review recommendations – is to enable Trustees to focus their efforts on key governance activities for which they have a legal responsibility, and to bolster the autonomy of the boards themselves*.

This represents a unique opportunity to make a real difference Nominations for RSB Chair are open for all current and past chairs of Regions under the aegis of the RSB. Closing date for RSB nominations: 23 October 2020 11:59 BST.

*N.B. Links will be retained between the Trustee Board and the Operating Boards, as each Operating Board will include a Trustee Board representative. For the avoidance of doubt, Trustees will continue to chair the boards responsible for governance, namely Finance, Strategy and Audit and Risk.
