Professor Joe McGeough, President
In recent weeks the way in which we conduct our activities as an Institution has changed beyond recognition due to COVID-19.
Where we can we are continuing to carry out the delivery of our services using virtual means. One aspect of our activities that we cannot do virtually however is the AGM. Our By-Laws clearly state that a minimum of 30 members need to be present in person and, having taken advice from both the Privy Council and the Charity Commission, I have taken the decision to postpone it (from 27 May) until 22 September 2020. Further details will follow in due course.
This decision does not affect the Council and Trustee Board Elections that continue as planned with voting being undertaken over the following weeks until 25 May. We will then announce the results of the election by posting on our website at 6.00pm on 27 May 2020. We will then follow this up with a notice in the following edition of PE magazine.
