An Ordinary Meeting of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers will be held on Wednesday 18 March 2020 at 18:00 at the Institution’s HQ: One Birdcage Walk, London SW1H 9JJ.
The John Player Prestige Lecture will be given on this occasion by Air Commodore Paul Lloyd, Head Typhoon Delivery Team, Defence Equipment & Support, entitled “Current and future challenges of engineering in the Royal Air Force. All members and their guests are welcome.
Trustee Board Elections
At this meeting the Trustee Board, in accordance with the By-laws, will present a list of Corporate Members nominated for election as President-Elect, as a Vice-President and as Ordinary Members of the Trustee Board.

Any Corporate Member may add to this list a candidate or candidates eligible for election.
Each nomination form must be signed by them and at least 11 other Corporate Members as nominators, such a nomination shall be delivered to the Chair of the (Ordinary) meeting together with the written consent of the nominee. (Reference By-law 64.2).

Council Elections
Corporate Members who are interested in standing as Ordinary Members of Council should also contact Joan Gibbins as above. Any Corporate Member can nominate a candidate for election as an Ordinary Member. Each nomination shall be signed by the nominee and two other Corporate Members.
The Trustee Board is responsible for the governance and leadership of the Institution. The Council is responsible for recommending strategy for the Institution and representing the views of the membership at large and meets twice a year with virtual meetings as required. Further details are available at www.imeche.org/governance.
Completed nomination forms for both Elections must be delivered to the Chair before or at the Ordinary Meeting on 18 March 2020.
