Formula Student Team
Dozens of teams tuned in for the first Formula Student webinar, helping competitors get a better understanding of the 2018 competition.
This was a result of the massive demand for places at October's Learn to Win event in October, enabling teams who weren't able to join the event in Coventry to get the most essential updates and tips from the judges and organisers themselves. All areas of the competition were covered in brief; from the 2018 rule set and autonomous competition to design tips and business presentation best practice.
The webinar attracted attendees from teams and universities around the world, including representatives from University of Cadiz, Texas A&M University at Qatar, University of Exeter, Sheffield Hallam, UMD Racing, Universidad Europea, University of Edinburgh, MoRe Modena Racing, Salford Racing, Team Srijan, FS Bizkaia, UGATU Racing Team and BlueStreamline.
Feedback on the day was great, with some teams getting the webinar on projectors and speakers:

Teams were also able to put their questions to some of the FS Committee members, who were at the Institution's London HQ for a meeting and on hand to answer questions. Enquiries from teams covered a variety of subjects, including clarification on BOM/CBOM, scrutineering checks and the content of the project management strategy.
