Preparing for the season ahead
Learn to Win brings together head judges, industry partners and teams to start the season with confidence. We cover key rule changes, sharpen their engineering expertise and develop professional skills sought by employers.
Through expert-led sessions, teams gained insights into technical and non-technical aspects of the competition. Attendees learned about the latest regulations, important deadlines and competition requirements for Formula Student, Formula Student AI and Concept Class teams.
The event also provided opportunities to hear lessons learned from successful teams and understand common pitfalls that can affect performance on and off the track.
Learning from judges and industry experts
A key benefit of the event is direct access to judges involved in disciplines including Cost, Business and Design.
Teams were able to gain clarity on judging criteria and better understand how to maximise their scores. New members received an introduction to the competition, while returning competitors explored ways to build on previous experience and improve performance.
Students also connected with software providers such as IPG Automotive who provide software licenses to Formula Student teams, enabling students to test their vehicles in a virtual environment before building a physical prototype.
Building skills for future careers
Formula Student is about more than building a race car. It gives students hands-on experience in project management, teamwork, communication and problem-solving.
Learn to Win connects students with potential employers, such as DEWESoft, Multimatic, Autodesk, Haas F1 Team and Anys, offering valuable networking opportunities and pathways into placements and graduate careers.
