Jo Passingham, Interim Chief Executive, becomes EngineeringUK Trustee

Jo Passingham, Interim Chief Executive of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), has joined the board of EngineeringUK.

I’m honoured to join the board of EngineeringUK and contribute to its vital mission of inspiring the next generation of engineers and strengthening the UK’s engineering workforce. Collaboration across the sector is essential to addressing the challenges and opportunities ahead, and I look forward to working with my fellow board members to help shape impactful initiatives that support innovation, sustainability, and skills development.

Jo joined IMechE earlier this year and is a Chartered Management Accountant with extensive senior leadership experience. She has held a number of Chief Financial Officer roles, most recently within an FCA-regulated business process outsourcing organisation. Her previous roles include senior positions at a major UK regulatory agency and a leading European climate innovation agency.

Throughout her career, Jo has led significant transformation programmes, including the implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and large-scale organisational restructuring. She has worked closely with boards, regulators and stakeholders across complex operating environments.
