Institution News Team
During 2015 the Institution has been working with stakeholders and an external digital agency to design and build a new website for the Institution.
The site is now at the beta stage of development. Beta website describes a site that has been released to users for comment and feedback. At this stage it is not replacing the previous site. During this beta phase, we are working hard to polish everything - the content, the navigation, the layout and functionality. While the site is largely finished, the Membership and registration section is still in development and currently consists of top level pages only. This section will be completed in January.
Members and other users can use the site to find out more about their industry sector and how to get involved in the life of the Institution through special interest groups and volunteering opportunities. The Training and Events sections draws together the wide range of events and training courses run by the Institution with easy to use search tools to help users find what they are looking for.
The Careers and Education section contains advice and information for students, teachers and parents who have an interest in mechanical engineering careers. In the News and Policy and Press sections users can catch up on the latest news in their sector and explore the wide range of reports and policy statements published by the Institution. The Libraries and Archive section gives members direct access to the online catalogues and databases available for their use.
We are listening to feedback and working closely with users and our stakeholders to make final adjustments to the site. Please bear with us during this final stage.
Once the beta phase ends, the beta site will replace the current site at www.imeche.org. The site will continue to change and improve over time. Feedback will always be welcome.
If you would like to provide feedback on the site, please use the feedback form available at the top of the homepage or contact us directly on digital@imeche.org. Please visit our beta site and let us know what you think.
