In the February edition of the EESG newsletter we asked you to complete a short questionnaire to gauge your views on the Chartered Environmentalist qualification.
The results from this survey supported the work of the EESG Board and staff to renew the Institution’s licence to register members as Chartered Environmentalists.
After a lot of hard work by staff, supported by members of the EESG Board, IMechE successfully completed an audit of its CEnv programme which was carried out by representatives of the Society for the Environment (Soc Env) in June. As a result of the comprehensive programme of work to update procedures and demonstrate that these meet the standards required by Soc Env the Institution’s licence has now been renewed.
We will shortly be carrying out the initial set of Professional Review interviews under the renewed licence and the application process will then be open to all members who can meet the required standards. The results of our survey indicate that many members of EESG should readily be able to achieve CEnv registration and we hope that as many of you as possible will now take up this opportunity.
You can register your interest in applying for CEnv registration by emailing cenv@imeche.org.
