After Industry 4.0 asked “How can we make things more autonomous?”, Industry 5.0 is bringing new opportunities for valuable human-machine collaboration, said John Burton, EMEA Workstation and Performance PC Lead at Dell Technologies, in the first part of the Dell Trailblazers webinar series, Manufacturing Today!

Presented by technology presenter Nikki Dean, the session is designed for industry leaders, innovators and professionals seeking to understand more about the technology powering the shift.

“This inflection point is moving to Industry 5.0, and that really is taking more of a human-centric approach,” Burton said. “How do we create and collaborate between machine and human, and increase the innovation, create decision-making and creativity? But also how do we enhance the wellbeing of our employees, by actually embedding and allowing some of these digital and autonomous tools to support their workflows?”

Also featuring Eoin Leyden, Product Marketing, Senior Consultant at Dell Technologies and Laura Hanlon, Solution Architect for Enterprise Edge Customer Solutions Centre, the event explores how AI, XR (extended reality) and digital twins are transforming operations, driving efficiency and accelerating innovation.

The experts from Dell Technologies demonstrate what is possible in manufacturing and beyond with the company’s cutting-edge tech, including a cobot (collaborative robot) demonstration. Its workstations and rugged devices are driving digital transformation, accelerating productivity and revolutionising industries.
