India Student Chapters deliver great activities for Student Affiliates

Manipal University Jaipur and Institute of Aeronautical Engineering have both recently launched Student Chapters in India and are putting on some interesting activities for student members.

Manipal University, Jaipur: Quadcopter Workshop 2015

A Quadcopter, also called a quadrotor helicopter, is a multirotor helicopter that is lifted and propelled by four rotors.

The event and other administrative tasks are carried out by a 4-member core committee under the supervision of a faculty coordinator.

The 3-day quadcopter workshop was the maiden workshop organized by the student chapter of IMechE in association with Robosapiens Technologies Pvt.Ltd.

The educational program consisted of, firstly a theoretical lecture on the basics and fundamentals of a quadcopter. The second day saw the assembly of a quadcopter skeleton where students were also taught about the simulations on a software.

On day 3, the core committee organized a formal inauguration of the student chapter of IMechE which was followed by the prize distribution of the quadcopter workshop where 3 teams, each consisting of 4 members were selected in the zonal round of this competition. The final of the same will be held at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in march 2016. The students were also shown a test launch by the faculty of Robosapiens Technologies.

The present IMechE student chapter consists of 56 members. The registrations for 2015 will be commencing shortly looking forward to many more eager students who are looking forward to being a part of this venture. After the exhilarating performance by the students in the first workshop, we are positive about the registrations.

Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Telangana: Launch Event 2015

The Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (IARE) in Telangana, India emphasises technical education and awareness for the service of mankind. For the same reason it was thought beneficial to have collaboration with different spectrum of institutions and groups that stands as a personifying element for the icon of engineering and mechanical engineering is of course the first and still the most royal discipline in engineering and so was established the student chapter of IMechE in IARE in 2015.

Since then IARE and IMechE has worked hand in glove with each other to promote and imbibe the spirit of engineering within the students of IARE being the first student chapter of IMechE in Telangana, India to be functional in any institute of Telangana, India becomes one amongst the leading promoter till day to promote IMechE and its spirit throughout the students of Telangana, India.
