Carly Nettleford, Engineering Policy Officer
Carly Nettleford, Engineering Policy Officer introduces the third edition of the Institution's new podcast 'Impulse to Innovation', hosted by Dr Helen Meese.
While different parts of the country tighten restrictions, and we continue to work from home, we’re delighted to provide some extra interesting engineering content.
In this episode we have a Young Member takeover! Our Young Members will be discussing 'Engineering careers at the COVID crossroads' and the challenges new workers are facing. They will also be providing tips for employment for individuals that have been furloughed or are unemployed while informing us of the importance of reskilling and training.
“Each month we will be discussing new topics, those in the news, but also those relevant to our members” stated Dr Helen Meese. “I am hopeful too that people outside the engineering profession will find the show interesting and it will be a gateway for younger people to come into the profession.”
You can find the podcast on all the major service providers; Podbean, Google, Apple, Deezer and Stitcher, Amazon and Alexa. It will be worthwhile subscribing to the show to keep up to date with our monthly episodes.
The podcast team would love to hear your thoughts and comments on this and future episodes. If you would like to get in touch, our email address is podcast@imeche.org
