IMechE Student Chapter holds India Space Research Organisation event

Talk was successfully delivered by the I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida student chapter



The IMechE student chapter of I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida organized a technical talk on “Success of ISRO Projects” for B.Tech third year and final year students on October 5, 2016. The distinguished speaker Mr. N.K Gupta, retired Director of India Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Projects highlighted  how the premier space agency of India ISRO is contributing to the nation’s growth through successful implementation of various projects like SLV, PSLV, GSLV, Chandrayaan etc. Gupta also highlighted the contribution of Mr. Vikram Sarabhai, Mr. Abdul Kalam and Mr. Satish Dhawan on the development on the ISRO.

The coordinators of the event were Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department and Dr. Sanjay Mishra, Academic Liaison Officer for the ITS Engineering College Greater NOIDA Student Chapter of the IMechE.

The purpose of the talk was to make the students aware about the role the premier space agency ISRO in the growth of India and to enable them to understand the technical aspects related to the development of launch vehicles and other ISRO projects.

The technical talk was more of an inspirational session for the mechanical engineering students showing them how ISRO have made India more powerful nation in terms rocketry science. The speaker also briefly discussed the technical aspects related to the development of launch vehicles. The audience got acquainted with how devotion toward work and good work culture can create a very successfully organization like ISRO.

The guest was accompanied with Mr. Ravi Kochak, Chairman of the IMechE India Branch and he was joined by approximately 150 third and final year BTech students as well as 25 members of the ITS College faculty.
