The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is excited to announce the launch of the 2024 Best Student Chapter of the Year Award, recognising the dedication, innovation, and impact of student chapters worldwide.

The results of the prestigious Best Student Chapter of the Year award have been officially announced, marking a historic milestone as the competition was opened to all international regions for the very first time.

Leading the way, the IMechE ASOIU Azerbaijan Student Chapter was named the winners, recognised for their outstanding leadership, innovative programs, and commitment to building a strong student community. Their creative initiatives and impactful collaborations with academia and industry earned them the top honour.

The 1st Runner-Up title went to the UNITEN Malaysia Student Chapter, which impressed with its consistent performance, wide-reaching student engagement, and dedication to professional development opportunities for its members.

This year’s competition was especially significant, as chapters from across the globe had the opportunity to participate, making the recognition of Azerbaijan and UNITEN even more meaningful. The international expansion of the award reflects the growing spirit of collaboration and excellence within the student chapter network worldwide.
