Are you involved in the IMechE's Student Engineering Challenges? Have your say in this latest survey.
As a part of its ongoing engineering policy work, the IMechE is developing a report into how engineering is taught in higher education, particularly focusing on skills developed by students during their time on a course and how adequately these prepare them for the working world.
We are interested in hearing from participants in IMechE-led engineering challenges, to build an understanding of the benefits and limitations of such challenges in terms of skills development. We are also interested in hearing from course leaders and industry partners, who may be able to provide insight into why these challenges are important and whether or not they provide participants with a comparative advantage when leaving higher education.
Engagement in this activity could range from providing written feedback to a series of questions or participating in interviews with members of our Engineering Policy Unit.
If you are interested in contributing to this piece of work, please reach out to Lydia Amarquaye (lydia.amarquaye@imeche.org) and Will Rowe (William.rowe@imeche.org) with your name and organisation and they will be in touch
