Get a headstart in the 2018 competition

There's just over a week to go before Learn to Win, which will see teams from across the UK and Europe join judges and organisers in Coventry.

Whether you are involved in team management, design, fabrication or testing, Learn To Win is designed to give new and returning team members a better understanding of what the judges are looking for and how to improve every aspect of your car. As this year's event is in a central location - the Manufacturing Technology Centre - this means that some teams are able to take part for the first time.

Still on the fence? Here's what you can expect:

  • Learn how to maximise your team’s scoring in each section of the event - speak directly with the judges involved in Cost, Business, Design and more
  • Benchmark your project against other teams and find out new ideas - Cardiff, Leeds, Imperial, Surrey and many more already confirmed!
  • Join business and marketing drop in sessions, led by Race Car Engineering deputy editor and former FSUK competitor Gemma Hatton
  • Join your peers and potential future employers at the closing drinks reception
  • Be inspired by a new venue, featuring the best of British Manufacturing Technology
  • Hear all the details about the new Autonomous competition for 2018
  • Take back the guidance you need so your team can develop the best car possible

Plus: don't miss all the details about the new Autonomous Vehicles Competition that will be taking place at Formula Student 2018!

TL;DR: All teams who are competing in the event should send team members to Learn To Win.

How to book your team:

Book a team of 10 with a credit or debit card using our website booking system - if you don't have a free IMechE website account you can sign up to one (this is separate to your FS account).

We will need the details of each person who will be attending. It would be appreciated if you could please supply this information on the form if you already know who will be attending. If you have any questions please call on 0207 973 1251.
