FS2025 Concept Class Virtual Dynamics

Formula Student Team

This year we are running a trial of a new Virtual Dynamics event for Concept Class teams.

This will be an opportunity to compete against other Concept Class entries, using a vehicle setup developed for the Lap Time Simulation element of the competition.

The event will be hosted at the IPG Automotive stand in the paddock, using a dedicated sim rig provided by industry expert Ansible Motion.

If successful this year, we plan to make the Virtual Dynamics a formal part of the full Concept Class event.

Event Format

Location: IPG Automotive Stand in the FS Paddock

Please arrive at the IPG Automotive stand a minimum of 10 minutes before your allocated run time, if you are late arriving you will not get the full allocated run time.

Thursday: 09:00 to 16:00 – Practice

Friday: 09:00 to 16:00 – Virtual Sprint

The running order for Thursday has been established based on the published static event judging schedule, there is at least a 1hr gap for your allotted practice time to any other static event. You will have 10mins to complete as many laps as possible in that time.

The running order for Friday, which will be published on Thursday evening, will be determined by the fastest times set during practice. If you do not set a practice time you will not be eligible to run on Friday.

On Friday you will be permitted a single practice lap, followed by two timed runs. The fastest of which for each team will be used to determine the overall ranking. Penalties for cones hit and off track excursions will be applied as per the FS Class Dynamic Event rules.
