Free Oil Analysis for FS teams

Formula Student Team

As we get into the final stages of preparation before Silverstone, here's a quick word from Swansea Tribology Services and Oil Analysis Services about what they can offer to get your car's oil systems up to standard.

At Swansea Tribology Services and Oil Analysis Services, we share IMechE’s vision for motorsport as a great learning opportunity and a way to promote the engineering profession. Having benefited from the Formula Student experience during my studies I wanted to see what we can do to support the competition.

As many of you know, oil analysis is routinely used in motorsport to ensure reliability and get a competitive edge. It is also widely used in industry as a condition monitoring tool, to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs. We offer oil analysis services to many different industries and, having worked with motorsport partners, including F1 teams, in the past, we wanted to offer our services to the Formula Student competitors.

As well as getting a competitive advantage the teams will get first hand appreciation of the technique, which will serve them well in their engineering careers.

So to all the teams - remember to get in touch when testing and developing your engines, gearboxes and hydraulic systems. We offer free oil analysis to Formula Student participants. To learn more about this offer please visit www.oas-online.co.uk. We hope to become a long term technical partner to the competition and to serve the participants again once they embark on their careers.
