Free GKN driveshafts on their way to FS teams

Over 70 Formula Student teams around the world have already ordered their free driveshaft kits from global engineering group GKN.

As the world’s leading manufacturer of CV joint driveshafts, GKN is working closely with our automotive and motorsport engineers to offer 100 Formula Student teams around the world bespoke GKN driveshafts. The driveshafts are completely free of charge and can be used as supplied or modified to suit the team’s particular objectives, vehicle architecture or package constraints. The teams have a number of options to customise their base kit and are provided with instructions on how to modify the shaft so that it meets with Formula Student requirements.

Dominique Roberts from Lancashire University commented:

"The driveshafts look perfect, we cannot thank you enough for sponsoring our team it is a huge help to our vehicle development with such a small budget"

GKN is an official partner of Formula Student for the third consecutive year. The motorsport competition, held at Silverstone Circuit in 2017, is aimed at supporting the next generation of young engineers as they compete to design, build and race Formula One-style racing cars.

The clock is ticking fast and orders are being shipped so don’t miss your team’s chance for a free driveshaft kit. Visit www.gknformulastudent.com to find out more and order your team's kit.
