Writing a technical article for Engineering & Technology (E&T) Reference provides a range of benefits to contributors.
The Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) is inviting engineers working in cyber security and power engineering to take up the opportunity to have their work published and contribute to its knowledge-sharing resource E&T Reference. E&T Reference is a reliable, ‘go-to’ online source of multidisciplinary technical reference articles written by engineering practitioners for engineers, researchers and students at all levels. As well as showcasing your work and achievements, contributing to engineering know-how and raising the profile of your organisation with peers, writing an article or case study for E&T Reference can also contribute towards continuing professional development (CPD).
Watch this video and hear from industry engineers who have already gone through the submission process. This process is easy to follow so that it can be fitted around the ‘day job’ and support and guidance is available at each stage.
In the video, Hugh Boyes, Managing Director of Bodvoc, speaks about the professional benefits he has found as a contributor to E&T Reference: “As an engineer I have an obligation to undertake continuing professional development (CPD). As an IET member, the papers I write can contribute towards a CPD monitoring scheme. I think it’s really important that we all undertake CPD and paper-writing, to me, is one of the ways of achieving that.”
All content is peer reviewed by leading subject-matter experts and is designed to give real-life insights into technology and engineering challenges, as well as up-skill engineers.
If you would like to publish an article or case study, please email your ideas and a short biography to ETR@theiet.org or visit the E&T Reference web page to find out more.
