Institution News Team
Call for presentations open until 31 March 2022: present your findings and share your expertise in the Institution’s 175th Anniversary year.
For full topics and instructions on how to contribute your work to this year’s agenda, please visit the event website.
With the growth in electric and hydrogen-powered applications and the continuing need to reduce emissions driven by net-zero targets, aerodynamics has never been more fundamental in vehicle design.
The IMechE warmly invites you and your colleagues to be a part of this year’s International Conference on Vehicle Aerodynamics on 6-7 December 2022 by making a 20-minute presentation as a basis for discussion and debate.
This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the rich history of the Institution’s conferences in our anniversary year and to advocate your techniques, technologies and best practice to a technical audience of researchers, policy makers and industry regulators.
Presentations should offer practical examples of issues encountered, how they were resolved or how improvements were made, with topics covering all vehicle types, including automotive, bikes, motorcycles, rail and Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
Be sure to send your proposed presentation outline for consideration by 31 March 2022, after which all submissions will be peer-reviewed by a committee of senior engineers.
On behalf of the Institution and the Conference Organising Committee, we look forward to receiving your presentation summary and hope to meet you at the conference this December.
