Bosch UK to continue their support of Formula Student

Formula Student are delighted to confirm the return of Bosch UK as a partner of the 2018 competition. As partners of the event, they ensure the continued running of the event that will host over 130 university teams from more than 30 countries take part, culminating in the live event in Silverstone.

Bosch will also continue their sponsorship of UK teams, with 2018 seeing teams including Phoenix Racing from University of Coventry, OBRacing from Oxford Brookes University, Brunel Racing, and Team Bath Racing electric who will benefit from their support and expertise in powertrain solutions and automation technology.

With complete powertrain systems for all vehicle classes, Bosch combines mobility with energy efficiency. This not only means making continuous improvements to internal combustion engines, but also developing powertrain systems for low- and high-voltage hybrids as well as electric vehicles. Connecting components and systems intelligently makes powertrains more efficient and thus economical to drive. With this in mind, Bosch combines hardware, software, and services.

As a long-running supporter of the competition for many years, this move reaffirms Bosch’s commitment to supporting the next generation of engineers by providing them with the expertise, skills and opportunities to succeed in both the competition and post-graduation.

The company will also feature a strong presence at the Formula Student event at Silverstone, where they will be running competitions, car exhibitions and an overview of the various areas of the business and career opportunities. Bosch also plan to return with their touring car to arrange hot laps of the historic Silverstone circuit on the Friday of the competition and to run a selfie challenge.
