Twelve teams from different universities across Malaysia came forward virtually to take part in the challenge. The main aim of the competition was to cultivate team-work, use imagination and analytical skills to invent, design and turn ideas into products among young engineers.
Today, virtually every aspect of our daily lives is enabled in some way by engineers. With that in mind, the competition was hosted online using MS-Teams to bring young engineers across Malaysia to exchange tips and tricks on how to design faster, while meeting the industrial standards and better accuracy.
The teams were required to design a sanitisation robot using SolidWorks software to help battle post COVID-19 in Malaysia. They were given half a day to complete and submit their designs virtually. All teams demonstrated excellent creativity in their designs. On behalf of APU students chapter team we would like to thank to our Judges who volunteer themselves to support us in judging the event: they were Ir. Chua Yaw Long, Ts. Noor Shieela Binti Kalib and Mr. Joel Bharath Pathyanathan.
