A Thank You to our Volunteers

Ahead of Volunteers Week (1–5 June), IMechE CEO Jo Passingham would like to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers for the vital role they play in supporting engineers, strengthening the Institution and inspiring the next generation.

I want to say a huge thank you to all our IMechE volunteers. I am regularly struck by the passion, generosity and expertise of our volunteer community. Whether mentoring, leading committees, judging competitions, supporting events or helping shape the Institution’s future, volunteers make an enormous difference across IMechE and the wider engineering profession. Your contribution helps make the Institution more connected, inclusive and forward-looking for engineers at every stage of their careers. Quite simply, we could not do what we do without you. Thank you for everything you do.

Our volunteer community includes 299 Boards and Committees, 56 Student Chapters, 49 Young Member Panels and more than 2,200 STEM Ambassadors worldwide, helping the Institution support engineers at every stage of their careers and extend its impact far beyond what staff alone could achieve.
