MAHLE Powertrain: competitions, graduate opportunities and team sponsorships

Formula Student Team

With just one week to go, here's the latest updates from MAHLE Powertrain as they prepare to head to Silverstone. Don't miss them onsite!

At MAHLE Powertrain we will be supporting Formula Student UK at Silverstone this year with our largest presence to date, showcasing opportunities available for young engineers, as well as experienced professionals looking for an exciting career in automotive engineering. There will be a variety of MAHLE technology on display, ranging from gasoline to full electric mobility, and showing different levels of hybridisation.

We are also excited to announce the opening of our application process for our Undergraduate and Graduate Programme, commencing in September 2019, from the first day of the event. Come and visit us to engage with our technical experts and HR representatives, including our Chief Engineers responsible for our Research and Advanced Engineering, Verification and Analysis departments; and get to know more about our technical capabilities.

We will be also running a daily competition based on MAHLE Motorsports Arcade mobile app, a retro style racing game, where you could be in with a chance of winning one of our exciting daily prizes. The app is AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD NOW, so get practising!

MAHLE Powertrain sees the importance of Formula Student in developing new engineering talent. Therefore, we are excited to announce new title sponsorship deals for Cardiff Racing and UBRacing and a gold sponsorship deal for Team Bath Racing Electric. These new sponsorship partnerships align well with MAHLE Powertrain’s dual strategy for the future: growing electrification capabilities whilst continuing advanced internal combustion engine work.  We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with the sponsored teams and wish them the best of luck for this year’s competition.

The global presence of The MAHLE Group enables to support the Formula Student experience not only in the UK, but worldwide; in 2017, The MAHLE Group sponsored a total of 29 teams from 9 different countries, including 8 electric teams. This sponsorship included a variety of benefits, such as financial support, exclusive learning workshops, access to production abilities and test facilities at MAHLE locations, and supply of MAHLE products.
