Could you briefly explain your role, involvement, and experience related to the focus of this event?
Anuj Chopra (AC): As Powerpack product owner in Jaguar Land Rover, I lead the system integration of electrified propulsion by attribute balancing and integration to meet the end goal of delivering customer needs.
What, in your experience, has been the biggest roadblock for the industry over the past 2-3 years?
AC: A major roadblock in recent years has been the industry's tendency to develop EV sub-systems in isolation to meet tight timelines.
What key topics are you excited to discuss at this year's conference?
AC: I am keen to get insights into how a holistic engineering approach can support the industry's shift toward more sustainable and scalable electrified solutions.
What do you consider to be the key areas of innovation in this industry, both in the UK and internationally?
AC: Advancement in vehicle verification and validation methodologies for hardware and software functions and features.
Who else are you most interested in hearing from on the programme of Advancing Automotive Engineering?
AC: There are diverse topics covering innovation, supply chain and sustainability.
Why is it important for engineers to join this conference?
AC: Advancing automotive engineering summit is one of the best forums at a national and global level that will cover wide variety of topics with insights from industry experts - this will give engineers to network, learn and share the best practices.
The Electrified Vehicle Engineering conference will take place on 21-22 October as part of the IMechE's Advancing Automotive Engineering summit to inform and support engineers across the sector.
Bringing together specialist engineers, this is a key forum to address the specific challenges involved in the design, measurement and analysis of noise, vibration and harshness in electric powertrains.
Join to hear technical updates from Michael at Bentley Motors alongside engineers from Ferrari, AVL, Jaguar Land Rover, YASA, Valeo Power Division and many more; for the full agenda and to book your place, please visit the event website.
