The Fluid Machinery Group committee member Prof Ahmed Kovacevic chaired the 12 International Conference on Compressors and their Systems at City University, London. This 3-day conference was held from the 6 to 8 September as a hybrid event with over 190 registered delegates.
The objectives of the conference were to provide a platform for academics, students and professionals interested in Compressors and related areas to share current research, develop new ideas, and share best practices. The Conference accomplished these goals by holding keynote presentations, technical parallel sessions, and Panel sessions. The conference also allowed networking through their online platform.
Keynote presentations were given by five world experts: Prof. Ian M Arbon on “Sustainability and the Compressor Industry”, Prof Andy Pearson on “Challenges for Compressors in Heat Pump Applications”, Prof. Ruzhu Wang on “Heat Pump and its Role on Carbon Neutral Target”, William James Milligan on “Compressors and Industrial Digitalisation” and Dr. Collin on “The Engineering in Society”.
