Carly Nettleford, Engineering Policy Officer introduces the Institution's new podcast 'Impulse to Innovation'
The Institution's new podcast 'Impulse to Innovation' launched on 3 August.
The show is a new addition to the growing multi-media offerings from the institution complementing our IMechE TV channel on YouTube.
“Many members have been asking for an Institution podcast for some time,” said Intuition Policy Officer, Carly Nettleford, “In these days of remote working, its great to be able to share what’s going on across the engineering sector with all our members”
In the first episode, podcast host Dr Helen Meese discusses energy and sustainability and questions whether the current pandemic will change the way we use our resources. Helen also interviews Drs, Laura Bishop and Kerry Mashford, both IMechE members, who share their thoughts on low carbon projects, renewable energy initiatives and their careers in the sector.
“Each month we will be discussing new topics, those in the news, but also those relevant to our members” explained Dr Meese. I am hopeful too that people outside the engineering profession will find the show interesting and it will be a gateway for younger people to come into the profession.”
