Institution members have various employment needs, from assistance looking for work to navigating a shift to self-employed status. We’re here to help you.

We work with Renovo, a specialist employment support agency, to help you with issues such as:

  • Looking for a graduate role
  • Becoming self-employed
  • Re-entering the job market after a career break
  • Breaking into a specialist field
  • Redundancy

CV refresh

As part of your membership of the Institution, we can refer you to our employment coaching provider, Renovo, free of charge. Renovo can provide you with access to its online employment coaching resource, Workfriend, plus up to two hours of individual consultancy time, working with you over a three-month period. 

Renovo will use telephone, email and Skype based contact to address the areas that you feel you need help with, and you will have the opportunity to reflect on your personal goals, values and style, and align them to your skills, experience and current opportunities available to you. Your adviser will consider suitable objectives and provide positive advice about the next steps you could take, with particular emphasis on your CV content and presentation.  Click here for more details.

Self-directed support

We can provide six-month access to an online personal CV builder, psychometric tests, common interview questions and simulator facility, plus a comprehensive vacancy database. All elements are fully supported with audio and video resources to enable you to work through the modules in your own time, selecting the elements that are most appropriate to your needs. Extended consultant-based support

Follow-on assistance in getting the right job is available to eligible applicants, if you need it and have completed either of the above initial routes. Click here for more details.
 

International provision

Renovo are based in the UK and their services are available on an international basis. Whilst their consultants know the UK employment market best, they can nevertheless offer general employment coaching advice and enhance your job search techniques.
