Primary Engineer volunteer

United Kingdom

If you want to help encourage UK primary school children to develop their ‘designing and making’ skills and find the path to becoming a future engineer, you might want to become a Primary Engineer volunteer.

Engineering masterclass volunteer

You will be involved in a range of activities, including visiting primary schools to help teachers create engineering-focused lessons, judging events and competitions or delivering practical maths, design and science activities.

This volunteering opportunity is provided by Primary Engineer, a not-for-profit organisation based in the UK, which aims to encourage more young people to consider careers in STEM related professions. Primary Engineer is supported by Tomorrow's Engineers and industry.

We work extremely closely with Primary Engineer to raise awareness of the programme. This also means our members have an opportunity to share their enthusiasm for engineering with primary school children.
