Inspiring, preparing and supporting tomorrow’s engineers to respond to society’s challenges.

Education is one of the Institution's 4 Key Themes, around which our activities are increasingly converging.  The themes provide a way to focus on issues that are important to both engineers and the wider public and allow us to demonstrate the key role that engineers play in society by making a major contribution to our health, wealth and security.

The Institution’s Vision of "Improving the world through engineering" will only be achieved if we have sufficient appropriately educated and trained engineers.  The Education Theme focuses on activities and policies aimed at, "Inspiring, preparing and supporting tomorrow’s engineers to respond to society’s challenges."

Over time we add information and links about the Institution's policy statements, media appearances, consultation responses, events and other activities in engineering education.
