Committee
The Food Engineering Committee is one of the six technical committees which report to the Process Industries Division Board.
Objectives
- To provide the Institution’s focus for food engineering;
- To promote and support Institution members in their professional food-related activities;
- To promote awareness within the food industry of the benefits of professional engineering;
- To liaise with other food engineering organisations and appropriate food-related technical and scientific organisations on food engineering matters;
- To promote at all levels education and training including continuing professional development in food engineering and to influence its content;
- To promote excellence in food engineering; and
- To encourage adequately informed consideration of the food engineering aspects in matters of public, industrial and legislative interests.
