Terms of reference
1. The Systems and Airborne Equipment Technical Activity Committee (SYSTAC) is set up under the authority of the Aerospace Industries Division of the Institution.
2. The SYSTAC shall report to the Aerospace Industries Division Board.
3. The SYSTAC shall
3.1 keep mechanical engineers abreast of advances in aerospace systems technology through lectures and seminars, and by doing so encourage and promote further innovation and development of that technology.
3.2 ensure authenticity of material, and to reach the broadest possible spectrum of interested engineers, by collaboration with other related institutions and organisations;
3.3 make knowledge available to the widest possible audience by encouraging the publication of proceedings and reports.
Membership
4. The membership of the SYSTAC shall be selected to give a wide spread of industry, academia, operators (civil and military), Government departments, regulatory bodies and consultants.
5. The Chairman shall be appointed from among the members.
6. The Secretary shall be provided from the Institution’s staff.Â
