Aerospace Materials and Structures Committee

Aerospace Materials and Structures Technical Activity Committee (AMSTAC) monitors and promotes, primarily through the development of seminars and conferences, the application of materials in aerospace structures.

What we do

• Provide a forum for bringing together professional agencies, academics and scientists.
• Activities encompass developments and innovation in design, manufacture, test and in-service performance.

Objectives

• Encourage dialogue and develop strategy with other national, professional institutions and committees addressing aerospace materials and structures (IoM3, RAeS, ADS).
• Appoint new members of AMSTAC as needed to give the appropriate balance between academia, industry and research organisations, and to reflect the scope of the technology.
• The Chair shall be appointed for a three-year term from among the members. The Chair may be re-elected but only if he/she so wishes.
